CA said – Aadhaar card is feared to be misused Regarding this entire episode, ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ spoke to Piyush Aggarwal, Chartered Accountant (CA) of Meerut. We asked- where must have happened? On this, CA Piyush says- Prima facie most of the possibility in this case is that the Aadhaar card of those who have received IT notices have been misused. It is possible that the fraudsters have also changed the mobile number recorded in the records of the Aadhaar card, because the OTP of GST comes to the same number. There have been many major changes in taking GST number since January 1, 2021. Now there is no physical verification. Therefore, it is also being misused many times.

How can people who have received notices now get relief? Responding to this question, CA Piyush Aggarwal says, Income tax will now investigate which computers, laptops, mobiles for so many crores of rupees have been generated. If these people have no meaning with that transaction, then the Income Tax Department will also see this matter. Their mobile numbers will also be investigated whether there was any transaction with them or not. Overall, the investigation in this case will run long, but in the end, those who get the notice can get relief. It is feared that these firms have been opened only for GST theft, while they should not be present on the ground.

You can complain if you are misused On seeing the records, if you feel that the Aadhaar card has been misused, you can immediately file a complaint. You can file a complaint on toll free number 1947 by email or help@uidai.gov.in or uidai.gov.in/file-complaint Can also complain online on the link.
