What the company will make in the new plant will not decide
According to the report, the company is talking to the government about this. At present, it is not decided what will be made in this manufacturing facility. The land is near the 50-acre plant of HCL-Foxconn-making semoculture, which is close to a 50-acre plant for HCL-Phuxcon semiconductor assembly facility.

Apple part of the PLI scheme of the Government of India
All three contract manufacturers of Apple are part of the Government of India’s Rs 41,000 crore production-linked incentive scheme (PLI). It is only after this scheme that iPhone manufacturing has increased in India. In 2020, the Government of India launched the PLI Scheme. With this scheme, companies from outside countries get a chance to take advantage of local manufacturing, as well as earn incentives on it.
