The Government of India has released a guideline for Indian students studying in America. The government has said that students should follow American laws.

In fact, the US government is taking action against the student workers opposing foreign policy. In view of this, the government has issued this guideline.

In the past, an Indian student Badar Khan Suri was arrested for spreading Hamas’s propaganda and opposing Israel.

At the same time, his visa was canceled for Ranjani Srinivasan, a student of Palestine. After this, he himself left America.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal had said that both students did not contact the Indian embassy in the US to help.

Ministry of External Affairs said- Contact Indian student embassy if you have trouble

Jaiswal said that neither the US government gave information about the arrest of Suri, nor did Suri contact us. We have got this information from media reports. He said that in the case of Ranjani Srinivasan, we came to know from the media that she had left America and moved to Canada.

Jaiswal said that the number of Indian students studying in American universities is increasing rapidly and the Indian government wants to strengthen educational relations with the US. If an Indian student has any problem, the Indian Embassy is present for their help and safety.

Badar Khan’s Deportation was banned

US immigration officials arrested Indian student Badar Khan Suri from Virginia on Monday night. Suri is accused of spreading propaganda in support of Hamas in America and having a relationship with the organization.

Suri is a student of Georgetown University in America under the Student Exchange Program. He is studying as a post doctoral fellow at the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding.

Assistant Secretary in the US Home Safety Department, Trissia McLaglin, posted on X and alleged that Suri was actively promoting Hamas.

However, the US court has stayed Suri’s Deportation (being expelled from the country). The judge of the Virginia Court ordered that Suri would not be expelled from the US until the court issues orders related to it.

Lawyer said- Suri’s wife Palestinian, hence targeted

Badar Khan Suri’s lawyer has dismissed the allegations against him. The lawyer said in a petition filed in the court that Suri is being targeted because his wife is a Palestinian. The purpose of his arrest is to suppress the voice of people supporting Palestinian rights.

The lawyer said in the document filed in the court that neither External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio nor any other government official have alleged that Suri has committed a crime or in reality broke any law. He has given his views, which are completely constitutional.

Suri’s wife’s name is Muffj Saleh. Suri reached Gaza in 2011 to help people, during which both met. Muffaz has done post graduation from Jamia University in New Delhi. According to media reports, Muffj’s father Ahmed Yusuf is associated with Hamas, which the US has declared a terrorist organization.

Mafaj said, “My husband’s custody has completely changed our lives. Our three children need their father a lot. They remember him a lot. As a mother I need to support my children and myself in dire need to take care of them.”

The visa of Indian student Ranjani Srinivasan, studying at Columbia University seven days ago, was canceled. The US Home Safety Department (DHS) had alleged that Srinivasan was involved in ‘promoting violence-violence’ and in the activities supporting Hamas. Ranjani himself left America after the visa was canceled.

According to DHS, Ranjani received admission to PHD in Urban Planning of Columbia University under F-1 student visa. His visa was canceled by the US State Department on 5 March. Ranjani then left America on 11 March.

DHS Secretary Christie Nom said that if a person supports violence and terrorism, he should not be allowed to live in this country.
