Today, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heat and heat alert in 9 states of the country. At the same time, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in 13 states. Barmer in Rajasthan was the hottest city in the country on Monday. The temperature was recorded at 45.6 degrees Celsius. In Haryana and some areas of Madhya Pradesh, the heat also disturbed people.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heatwave for Gujarat till 10 April and ‘Hot and Humid’ condition. Here, there is a possibility of hail falling on April 9 and strong winds of 40-50 kmph in Jharkhand.

How will the weather be the next two days? Most parts of the country are not expected to get relief from heatstroke and heat for the next two days. The temperature in north-west India, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi-NCR will remain 3-5 degrees above normal. The heatstroke will continue at many places in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and western UP.

At the same time, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast States and parts of South India. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have also been warned of lightning and strong winds. In hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand, rain and hail may fall on 9, 10 April.
