Today is the third and last day of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Shah will hold 2 important meetings at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar today. Will review development works in the first meeting. After this, the security situation of the state will be discussed. Shah will return to Delhi from Srinagar on Tuesday.

On the second day of the tour on Monday, Shah went to Loc and BSF outpost in Kathua. Where he reviewed the current security system and the situation. Then met the families of the martyrs at the Raj Bhavan and also distributed compassionate appointment letters.

Earlier on April 6 (Sunday), Shah held a meeting with BJP MLAs and officials on the first day. This meeting lasted for about two hours. Shah said in Rajya Sabha- Modi laid the foundation of democracy in Kashmir Amit Shah said in a discussion during the budget session in the Rajya Sabha on March 19 that there were 7,217 terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir between 2004 and 2014, but between 2014 and 2024 it was reduced to 2,242. He said that in the last 10 years, the decrease of 81% of the deaths of citizens, the reduction of 50% in the martyrdom of security personnel and stone pelting incidents have now stopped completely. At the same time, in 2004 there were 1,587 terrorist incidents.

Shah said- only 85 incidents took place in 2024. In 2004, 733 civilians were killed, while in 2024 the number decreased to 26. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation of democracy in Kashmir and now the government gives strict and direct answers to the terrorists.

The Home Minister further said- During the 33-year rule of the opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, cinemas were not opened there. We removed Article 370 in 2019. In the G20 meeting, diplomats from all over the world went there. We conducted elections successfully there. A bullet did not work.
